Airtrade Introduces Airtrade Hub
New flight content aggregator is launched in response to IATA’s New Distribution Capability (NDC)
The announcement comes two years after Lufthansa first unveiled its plan to add surcharges to GDS bookings and after announcements of both KLM and British Airways/Iberia to follow suit.
The Airtrade Hub is able to fully integrate flight content from multiple sources, including NDC airline content, low cost, GDS content, travel aggregators and flight content of German Consolidator AERTicket. The Hub’s output gives travel agents access to the entirety of an airline’s offering and ensures an optimal and competitive flight bid based on all fare types.
Jeroen Martron, Airtrade CEO, commented: "It was not an easy decision to make when we first started developing the Hub, given the huge investment. But now we are excited to launch The Airtrade Hub. We understand the industry’s need to change the way in which flights are being distributed. With the Airtrade Hub we were able to develop a platform that facilitates easy access to NDC offers for fares and prices but were also able to combine it with other rich content from different sources. The 'Airtrade Hub' is internationally scalable which makes The Airtrade Hub interesting to Tour Operators and OTA’s as well.
The Airtrade Hub complements Airtrade’s travel technology suite. The technology of the hub fully matches Airtrade’s other products, including the API and the new booking tool for travel agents: FareFinder, which is set to be launched in 2018.
